The other day, I was sitting and browsing through some videos on YouTube when a recommended clip caught my attention. It was about two alternatives to Discord, which intrigued me as I always enjoy testing alternatives to popular social networks. Through that video, I discovered an alternative to Discord that quickly prompted me to access and create an account on it. It's called the Revolt Chat social network.
Revolt Chat presents itself as an alternative to Discord, created by a developer from the United Kingdom who has turned it into an open-source social network. The application is simple, lacking features that might make you feel overwhelmed, and functions exactly like the popular Discord. However, as of the writing of this piece, Revolt Chat has a problem with voice channels and private calls. I understand that it's a known issue being actively addressed and will be resolved shortly.
What about you? Have you tried alternatives to Discord? If so, which one is your favorite? Share your experiences in the comments. I'm eager to hear your thoughts on exploring innovative and superior platforms for communication!
